Free MLP (or other Hasbro toy) with $20 purchase!

SpottedSlug posted about a promotion that Hasbro is running through December 25th 2010 and January 31st 2011. Basically you buy a Hasbro toy or game, fill in a form and send it in with your original receipt and they'll send you a free toy. The form lets you pick your top three toy lines and Hasbro will send you a toy from one of the lines you choose.

I wonder what they'll be sending out as their free products. Hopefully, the stores around me will actually stock some new products so I can make a purchase and fill out my own redemption form to find out.

Here is the link for the redemption form and if you send one in let me know what they send you!

My Little Pony Keds!

Okay, while these are not an officially licensed My Little Pony product, they are awesome! I'm thinking they would make great summertime shoes for hanging out at the lake, beach, or a pony event (like My Little Pony Fair 2011).

I love how they name the shoe styles not by the pony name (since they are obviously skirting around copyrights) and instead name them by pony characteristics. For example, the "Dashing in the Clouds" shoe is obviously designed after Rainbow Dash, "Fresh Picked Apples" is designed after Applejack, etc.

They are being sold for $65 and I love them. I only wish I had discovered them before I made my Christmas list!

Check out all the styles available HERE on zazzle.com

Whatever Happened?

A few years ago my friend, Mary, and I went to see the My Little Pony Live stage show. We had a great time despite the fact that we were quite possibly the only attendees that did not have a child under the age of 6 in tow.

The other day, I found myself randomly wondering what happened to the costumes used in the show. I know Hasbro has the giant Pinkie Pie costume in house because they brought it out at both the 2008 and 2009 My Little Pony Fairs for photo opportunities. The funny thing about the Pinkie costume is that the back legs used to "float" behind the pony but when I last saw it in 2009 they had attached wheels to the back legs since they had started to sag and drag behind.

So, we know what happened to Pinkie, but what about Thistle Whistle? Where the heck did Rarity and Minty go? Are they sitting in some warehouse or someone's basement somewhere, or were they sold off after the MLP Live show ended? I think they are adorable and it is a shame that they have simply vanished.

For those who may have completely missed out on My Little Pony Live and have no idea what I'm talking about, or those who want to relive the stage show it is available on DVD.

Fashion Style Ponies!

I still haven't found any of the new Friendship is Magic products in my area aside from the promotional gift pack. I may have to put in an order online for the new Fashion Style Applejack and Rarity. They're much larger than the regular sized figures, but since I'm in love with all versions of Applejack, I'm sure I'll at the very least add her to my collection.

Happy December!

It is hard to believe that it is already December and Christmas is just a few short weeks away. We finally had some cold weather and some snow so at least it feels a bit more wintry than the bizarre 70 degree weather we had in November. Normally, I'm on the ball with my Christmas shopping and holiday decorating, but this year I'm behind schedule.

My husband and I already have two of our Christmas trees up (one with our Hallmark ornaments and the other filled with his Star Wars ornaments) and I'm planning on putting up a third tree this week filled with my collection of My Little Pony ornaments. I have the purple licenced My Little Pony Christmas tree, but I'm thinking that I may have to spring for a bigger tree to fit all of the pony ornaments. If you happen to know of a place that sells a purple or pink pre-lit tree that stands around 4ft. let me know.

I recently picked up this new style Pinkie Pie ornament at Target and I missed out on this Sweetie Belle ornament by Kurt Adler in stores but recently bought one on Ebay.

I also picked up some adorable pony wrapping paper at Toys R Us and you can be sure that everyone on my gift list will be receiving their gifts wrapped in festive holiday pony print regardless of age and gender. :)

Happy Holidays!

"The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly" exhibit opening at the Frazier Museum

I was invited to attend "The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly" exhibit opening party yesterday evening at the Frazier Museum. I thought the exhibit was really well orchestrated and it was inventive how they incorporated the Toy Story theme throughout. Many toy lines were represented including vintage G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, Star Wars, Barbie, My Little Pony, and many others. The exhibit was very aesthetically pleasing and had an overall gallery feel. Other toy exhibits I've attended in the past seem to concentrate more on quantity than quality with items packed into display cases. This was not so with the Frazier exhibit. While I wish there would have been a few more toy lines represented, the presentation was beautifully done.

I was able to take the following photo of the My Little Ponies I loaned to the museum in their case as well as a close-up of the mounted information tag. Each toy line had a brief description and history tag.

"The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly runs from now until March 27th 2010.

My Little Pony Collection is featured in Frazier International History Museum's Exhibit!

I was asked to loan some of My MLP Collection items to the Frazier International History Museum for their new exhibit, The Good, The Bad, and the Cuddly which will feature toys and art from the Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” movie trilogy, along with other movie-inspired toys. Of course, I was happy to share a portion of my collection with the museum.

My husband and I will attend the VIP party and exhibit opening in Louisville, Kentucky this Friday evening. I can't wait to see the exhibit and am thrilled that My Little pony will be represented!

Here is an excerpt from the Courier Journal about the exhibit:
"Opening November 20, “The Good, The Bad. The Cuddly” will feature toys and art from the Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” movie trilogy, along with other movie-inspired toys.

Produced by Frazier Museum staff, the show is a “toy-stalgic” experience examining”the play things that have entertained generations past through collections of vintage and antique toys, along with original movie story boards, stills and concept art, as well as retro TV clips, interactive games and fun trivia,” according to a news release.

In a hands-on exhibit, “Toy Story” characters tell the story of some of America’s most beloved toys, beginning with the early 2oth Century through present day:

Woody from “Toy Story” narrates facts about Western toys and those inspired by 1950s TV shows, such as “Howdy Doody,” according to the release.
Buzz Lightyear introduces popular space toys from “Star Wars,” “He-Man”/”Masters of the Universe,” “Buck Rogers” and “Flash Gordon.”
Rex introduces dinosaur toys.
Sarge introduces G.I. Joes and toy soldiers.
Girls’ favorites will be on display in Molly’s Room, including Barbie, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, Cabbage Patch Kids, Madame Alexander dolls and tea set collections.
“Sunnyside Daycare” features Teddy Bears and other stuffed animals, in addition to educational toys such as Legos, Lincoln Logs and K’Nex.
The 3,800-square-foot exhibit includes more than 500 toys from the last 75 years.

“The Good. The Bad. The Cuddly” runs through March 27, 2011 and is included with the cost of museum admission."

So many updates, so little time!

Since I last posted, the new Friendship Is Magic My Little Pony cartoon debuted on the HUB channel. While I admit I was a little hesitant about the new body style and direction the My Little Pony line was headed, after watching an episode of the new series I'm a fan! I love the storyline and feel that instead of dumbing down MLP for the 3-5 set, Hasbro is now incorporating characters and dialogue that will expand their target audience to include a wider age range.

Most of the new toys have yet to make an appearance in my area, but I was able to pick up the Friendship is Magic gift pack at my local Target a few weeks ago. It was such a nice change to actually walk down the toy aisle and get excited about a new pony product!

I hope that the My Little Pony with Pets assortment will be stocked in my area soon as I'm all about their brushable hair.

I'm also looking forward to this set since Applejack is my all-time favorite pony in any generation and she totally deserves her own barn!

So, Long Time, No Post

I've been away from all things MLP for well over a month due to starting back to work in August and performing in yet another theater production. Not to mention this past week in which my entire immune system decided to tank and I came down with not only a stomach virus, but a sinus infection and a severe earache. I'm still on the mend, but since blogging requires little physical exertion... Here I am!

I've finally managed to clean out my office which suffered greatly during the planning of this past year's MLP Fair. Everything is filed away nicely and ready for me to sit down and start on one of my many projects that have been sitting on the back burner waiting patiently for my attention. So look out, I may be busy on another book very soon!

I'm currently attempting to clear out the last few 2010 Fair Exclusive Ponies that are currently waiting for new homes. If you would like one of these limited ponies, please visit the 2010 MLP Fair website to order yours today. I have added a few discounted 2010 Fair exclusives (due to dented boxes) to the site as well for $25.

I am also accepting international orders for the exclusive ponies at this time, but ask that you contact me first with your location so I can get you the correct shipping costs.

Highway 127 Yard Sale!

I am finally caught up on mailing out 2010 Fair Exclusive Ponies to everyone that has ordered so far. It is a big relief! I don't know how those Ebay power sellers do it. It is a little exhausting keeping everything straight with addresses, shipping, and tracking but I managed to do it! Thanks so much to everyone who ordered a pony. I'm so happy to get them out of my house!

If you are like me, you are currently trying to stay cool. I've spent time at the pool this week as well as catching up on episodes of True Blood. Tomorrow, however, I'm hitting the road (and the heat) with my mom to attend the Hwy 127 yard sale. For those who aren't aware, this annual yard sale stretches from Michigan to Alabama and is great for bargain hunting and people watching. Who knows what I'll find, but it's a a fun way to spend my last few days of summer vacation. Last year, I went with my aunt and it was an adventure! I start back to work on Monday and all I can think is "Where did my summer go?"

Have a great weekend and drink a fruity drink for me since sadly, alcohol consumption is off limits for me this summer.

Design-A-Pony Contest Winner Announced!

The winning design for the 2010 MLP Fair Design-A-Pony contest was revealed at the My Little Pony Fair. Her name is Rainbelle and she was designed by Caitlin Beam and brought to life by the ever-talented Celia. She looks stunning! Rainbelle will be making her way to her new home shortly (as soon as I find the right sized box to send her!)

Congrats Caitlin! I hope you enjoy her!

Did you miss out on the 2010 Fair Exclusive? Now is your chance to buy!!

We ended up with a few extra 2010 Fair Exclusive ponies in our inventory and wanted to open up sales to those who may have not been able to attend the convention. They are currently up for sale on the 2010 MLP Fair website for $35. These beautiful exclusive ponies will be sold until we run out of stock (and at the rate they are going, they probably won't be available for very long). Each pony comes packaged in her original Art Pony box.

At this time, we are only sending to US addresses. All orders will be shipped within 5 business days with tracking so you can keep tabs on your pony as she travels to your home.

My Little Pony Fair Weekend- Thanks!

The My Little Pony Fair took place this past weekend in Louisville, KY and it went off without a hitch. I'm incredibly grateful to my fellow staff members, Mary and Celia who helped out enormously. Also, I should thank Karen for our awesome banner designs and our game volunteers for taking time to run our games and activities. You all rock! In addition, I recruited my mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, dad, and brother to fill various roles and they did an amazing job. I seriously couldn't have pulled this event together without their help. Thank you so much!!

At the moment I'm attempting to unpack all of the Fair supplies and regain my house as it spent the last two weeks serving as MLP Fair Central. I'll be sure to add some photos and recount the Fair awesomeness in the coming days, so stay tuned!

Just a few updates...

I have a mega to-do list that I'm attempting to tackle before the My Little Pony Fair. There are many games, activities, and contests planned and it is shaping up to be a really fun event.

We have our T-shirt design finalized for the event and I love how it turned out. T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event and then any extras will be sold online. Prices will range between $15-$20.

Also, I'm pleased to announce that The My Little Pony G2 Collector's Inventory will be released at the Fair. Copies will available for $15. We will also have copies of the G1 guide, G3 guide, and the 2007-2008 guide available.

I'm working on vendor table assignments today, so if you have any special requests about your booth location for the Fair, please contact me as soon as possible.

If you haven't purchased your event tickets you might want to get them reserved. Online ticket sales end this Friday night. Tickets will be available at the door, but tickets purchased at the door will not receive an exclusive pony voucher that guarantees you the opportunity to purchase an exclusive pony.

I really hope that between running around and making sure everything is running smoothly at the Fair I'll find some time to do some shopping at the vendor booths. I've been checking out the photos vendors have been posting of items they are bringing to sell on the Fair message boards and I've already spotted a few things I wouldn't mind adding to my collection.

MLP Fair Virtual Events

I'm currently in the middle of my vacation, but wanted to take a minute to bring attention to two fabulous virtual My Little Pony Fair events in which even those who can't attend can participate.

Ponyroom Tour
Take a photo of your My Little Pony Collection or Ponyroom and send it via email to mlpfair @ mylittleponyconvention.com along with your name (real name or board name is fine) and it will be played in our Ponyroom Tour slide show during the My Little Pony Fair. Go ahead and WOW us with your Pony collections!

LOLPonies
Much like the internet sensation lolcats only with My Little Pony. Grab your favorite Pony and take a silly photo adding a caption in LOL speak and send it to mlpfair @ mylittleponyconvention.com and it will be played in our LOL Ponies screen show.

Both attendees of the Fair and those who are unable to attend are welcome to submit photos for these virtual events.

Get snapping shutterbugs!

Mermaids and Message Boards

After writing about my disappointment at not finding any new MLP products in stores, I came home yesterday with two new sets of mermaid ponyville ponies. Maybe I should whine more often?

I'm currently writing up the program for the 2010 My Little Pony Fair so it can be proofed and printed and tomorrow I'll be busy sewing beanbags to be used in the Bushwoolie Toss Fair game with the help of my mother. Look at me being all crafty! If you haven't yet checked out the MLP Fair Message Board head over and check it out. I'm loving the post about what pony items people are planning on bringing to sell!

No New Products, but Hasbro Offers BOGO Free

Now that I'm officially on vacation, I can spend my days working on the crazy long lists of projects that have been piling up over the last few months. It is such a relief to be able to cross something off my list and still have hours in the day to either tackle another project, or grab a book and just chill out and not feel guilty about it.

I've also been able to check out the toy sections in my local stores and I have to admit I'm a little disapointed that the shelves weren't overflowing with new My Little Pony products. Hopefully, we'll start to see the Mermaid line on shelves soon. In the meantime, you can check out Hasbro Toy Shop for a few Buy One get One Free MLP items.

Have a MLP Question for Hasbro? Ask it and You May Get an Answer!

I've been in contact with Hasbro about this year's MLP Fair and they have confirmed they will be attending as well as running a booth and hosting a Question and Answer session with collectors on Saturday.

I will be compiling a list of questions to send to Hasbro from those posted by collectors so they can provide answers and discussions at the Fair.

If you have a question you'd like to ask, please post it in the comment section on this post or add it to one of the following threads: MLPTP Hasbro Q Thread MLPArena Q Thread

I can't wait to see what Hasbro has up their sleeves for the Fair this year!

Note to Self: Remember to Eat

There is an end in sight! Only two days to go!

Don't get me wrong, I love my job. However, when you are teaching a room full of Kindergartners the week before summer vacation begins, you tend to forget. It gets a little crazy.

In pony news, I managed to complete a draft of the My Little Pony Fair event schedule this past weekend. It was actually a challenge fitting in all the games, activities, speakers, and presentations into two days. I knew we had quite a bit planned, but when I put it all together it is pretty ambitious. I always consider an event a success when I forget to eat, drink, and go to the restroom for fear of missing something exciting. So here's to MLP Fair 2010, may you bring hunger, thirst, and dehydration to the masses.

2010 My Little Pony Fair Exclusive Pony Details and Pricing!

As you may already be aware, The My Little Pony Fair will offer a unique exclusive pony figure for sale at this year’s event. We are thrilled about the design that Hasbro created for us. Collectors at last year’s event requested a green pony and Hasbro listened and delivered!

We have received multiple questions about how the 2010 Exclusive Pony will be distributed. This year’s My Little Pony Fair Exclusive Pony will be available for purchase at the 2010 My Little Pony Fair on July 17th and 18th in Louisville, Kentucky. Attendees who order their tickets to the event online before July 5, 2010 will receive one Exclusive Pony voucher per paid ticket in their registration packets. This voucher guarantees the ticket holder the opportunity to purchase 1 exclusive pony before sales are open to other attendees.

Once sales are open to attendees who purchased their tickets at the door, persons who redeemed vouchers may reenter the line and purchase additional Exclusive Ponies.

It should also be mentioned that this year, the My Little Pony Fair has half as many exclusive ponies available for purchase as in previous years. If you are not attending the event and wish to get an exclusive pony you might want to find a “Fair buddy” who is willing to purchase and ship to you.

This year’s exclusive comes packaged in a unique Art Pony box. The price of this year’s exclusive will be the same as last year’s Exclusive Pony, $35.

Pinkie has Quite the Pout

I saw this picture of animated Pinkie Pie posted by Gaspode over at the Arena and while the concept seems really cute. I can't get over the size of her lips. Do ponies even have lips? I'm hoping that it is just the lighting in the picture and they aren't so pronounced.

Here's the item description: Anytime is perfect for story time with Pinkie Pie! She knows all the stores and songs from Ponyville and can't wait to share them with you. Watch her come alive as her mouth moves with every word she says. Includes 4 colour storybooks.

Apologies for being a little light on the posting lately, but I've been feeling under the weather and the school year is winding down and as a teacher that means insanity. :)

If you haven't already purchased your tickets for My Little Pony Fair 2010, head over to the MLP Fair website and get them. There are pictures of the 2010 Fair exclusive pony on there as well to swoon over.

These recently showed up on Ebay from a seller in China, so we don't know when or where they will be released, but I'm digging the translucent bodies!

MLP Fair Needs Artists and Customizers!!

I’m working hard to get this year’s My Little Pony Fair planned and organized and I need your help. This year’s volunteer Fair Staff is small due to some needed reorganization, but we have many amazing collectors who have stepped up to man games, contests, and events. As July nears, it is clear we need a few more hands to make this event the best it can be! We are looking for a few interested people to fill the following roles:

Digital Artist/Graphic Designer
The Fair staff is in need of someone who can head up artwork to be used in promotion of this year’s My Little Pony Fair. Basically, this person will need to produce digital art and graphics (specifically ponies) to be used on things like banners, pamphlets, badges, and other items for the Fair. Pony templates will be provided. Even if you are not able to attend this year’s event, we’d still love your help if you are interested!

Customizer
We have a few plans up our sleeves this year and need the talents of an experienced customizer (or customizers) to pull them off. I can’t share everything here as it is a secret, but if you are up for making 5 pony sized customs for a Fair display (supplies will be provided) please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read. Remember, even if you aren’t able to attend the Fair this year we’d still love for you to be involved!

Please email mlpfair@mylittleponyconvention.com if interested.

For more information on this year's Fair visit the Fair's 2010 website

Want to Give a Presentation or Demonstration at MLP Fair 2010?

Are you an expert on alternant Birthflower Ponies? Do you know the ins and outs of buying ponies from foreign auction sites? Maybe you know all there is to know about MLP pamphlets, stickers, or comics? Can you make awesome pony themed jewelry?

The MLP Fair staff is looking to add a few demonstrations and presentations to our 2010 schedule of events. If you are planning on attending this year’s 2010 My Little Pony Fair and would like to be considered to be added to the program to share your knowledge or talents with other collectors, please email mlpfair@mylittleponyconvention.com and submit your presentation idea. You will need to include your real name, MLPArena or MLPTP board name, a detailed description of what you would like to present, your experience in that area, and what you will need for your presentation (projector, document camera, copies for handouts etc.) If you are thinking about doing a demonstration, a photo of a finished product is appreciated so we can get an idea of your finished product. Presentations and demonstrations should last 15 to 30 minutes in length. All presentation and demonstration ideas will be considered.

Thanks so much for helping us make the My Little Pony Fair an awesome event for collectors!

For additional details on this year's event visit the My Little Pony Fair website.

Totally 80s!

So I'm going to an 80s themed party this Friday and I'm really looking forward to it. Given that my friend who is hosting the party also collects My Little Pony and her husband is a huge MOTU collector, I have a feeling this party is going to be a blast! Sadly, I've been so busy that I haven't had time to figure out what I'm going to wear. I don't have any acid washed jeans with the zippers and bows at the bottom in my closet and sadly, I don't own a hair crimper and I'm all out of banana clips. I might have to hit the thrift stores tomorrow night after work and hope I find the equvilent of this:

Wish me luck!

Where are all the Ponies?

I have several buy one get one free manufacture coupons for My Little Pony single ponies and they all expire this Thursday. I keep checking my local stores for something new on the shelves, but alas, nothing! I figured at the very least I'd be able to find the New Look g3s with those little skirts. I was wrong. I think that Hasbro is deliberately waiting for the coupons to expire to ship out new stock.

Kudos!

I'm literally blown away by some of the entries I've received for the My Little Pony Fair Design-A-Pony Contest. I can't wait for the last few to trickle in over the next few days! You all are awesome!

I also feel like I should address the emails I've been getting that basically ask me this: "Please, please, please tell me if I won the Design-A-Pony Contest because I'm not going to the MLP Fair and don't want to find out after other people know."

There have been several emails of this nature and this is what I have to say to them.

The point of this contest is to have the winning design revealed at this year's Fair as a Fair event. It is a contest organized by MLP Fair staff for the Fair. While we did open up submissions to all Fair attendees and US residents (including those that have no intention of attending this year's event), the winning design will be revealed at the Fair, not before. I apologize to those of you who are dying to know if you've won and feel somehow wronged by not notifying you before the winner is revealed and hopefully, if you do win, all will be forgiven when you get your giant 2 foot tall My Little Pony prize delivered to your home.

In case your curious, I managed to get all my report cards filled out and one of my papers completed so far. That helps me feel a little more on top of things and a little less crazy.

Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

Drowning!!

Maybe I'm being a tad dramatic, but I seriously feel like I'm fighting to keep my head above water with everything on my plate at the moment. Report cards for my students are due Friday, I have 2 huge papers/projects for my Saturday class due this Saturday and next Saturday, I'm still in the middle of unpacking from our move, dealing with PonyFair and not dealing with other pony projects and instead worrying that I'm not dealing with them (which is a completely other issue). If I step back, it isn't really that bad and thankfully, there is an end in sight, but I've worked myself into a frenzy so now everything seems daunting.

It seems ridiculous that I just had a week off work and yet I feel even more frazzled than before. I guess that's what happens when you don't stop to relax and instead push yourself so it seems like going back to work is actually taking a break.

I'm also a little sad that I have a beautiful room full of shelves and glass cabinets waiting for My Little Ponies, but haven't had the time to even think about unpacking them.

Speaking of ponies, if you haven't sent in your contest entry yet for the MLP Fair Design-A-Pony Contest, time is running out! All entries must be postmarked by April 2nd!!

Drumroll Please...

I'm currently surrounded by boxes and packing paper, but I have online access again- Hooray! Luckily I'm on vacation this week so I can wade through this mess and hopefully come out on the other side.

In pony news, or more specifically My Little Pony Fair News, I am able to announce that we have received our 2010 MLFair exclusive pony. The My Little Pony Fair is going GREEN this year!

Also, if you are planning on attending this year's My Little Pony Fair and Convention and are wanting to purchase booth space for sales or display you may want to get on it. We've already sold out of our "Extra Booth Space" option and now only have regular vendor booths available.

For additional information about ticketing, contests, and this year's My Little Pony Convention, visit us online.

Now I'll dive back into my boxes.... Wish me luck!

Until I post again...

I'm in the middle of moving, thus the total lack of updates. Things should calm down in a week or two and I'll be back with some AWESOME updates about this year's MLPFair and this year's MLPFair exclusive pony. Including pictures. :)

Milk Chocolate G1 Sitting My Little Ponies- Available for Easter!

I recently tried my hand at candy making and am happy with the results! I am bound to try some new designs soon, but I have decided to offer solid milk chocolate G1 My Little Ponies for sale for a limited time to board members and blog visitors in time for the Easter holiday and Easter baskets. I figured that a sitting chocolate pony in an egg was as close as I am ever going to get to mint in egg Greek Ladybird!

Each pony is crafted entirely out of milk chocolate, wrapped in cellophane, tied with a pretty ribbon and placed in a plastic egg case for presentation (and protection during shipping). The pony is the same size as a G1 sitting pony. I will be taking up to 10 orders via email to summer@purplepajamapress.com and may open orders up again once I finish the first batch if there is time. The cost of each chocolate pony is $20 plus shipping. I apologize for the high cost, but these girls take quite a bit of chocolate and even more time!

I can also add Wilton Pearl finish and finish off the eyes (both done with entirely edible products) to get a finished product like this but it may cost a bit more.

I hope you all like them!

MLPFair Design A Pony Contest- Win a Giant Pony!

Have you ever wanted to design a My Little Pony? How about an almost two foot tall My Little Pony? If so, then this contest is for you!

Simply download the contest entry form and get to work on your unique My Little Pony design based on the theme "Back to Basics". One winning design will be chosen by the Fair Staff to be made into a giant almost two foot tall My Little Pony to be unveiled at the 2010 My Little Pony Fair in Louisville, Kentucky. After the event, the giant custom designed My Little Pony will be sent to the winning designer! The contest runs from now until April 2nd.

For additional details, contest rules, and official entry form, visit MLPFair Design A Pony Contest page the MLPFair website.

Giant My Little Ponies Singing Musical Numbers and Cold Stone Ice Cream Cake = Best Birthday Ever!!

Today I turned 28 and am currently on a quest to devour an entire Cold Stone ice cream cake (specially ordered with cake batter ice cream, raspberries, and strawberries- Yum!). However, I HAD to take a moment in between helpings to post the most wonderful bit of Pony-related entertainment I have ever encountered. Not only does it involve giant My Little Ponies from the MLP Live show, but they are singing Broadway showtunes!! My two favorite things have melded together to create the most ridiculously fabulous nine minutes ever...and I'm eating ice cream. Best birthday ever!

It doesn't take much.

Because I Can

You know those really annoying ticker things that people put in their signatures on message boards that count down the days until their wedding or the birth of their child with the really creepy growing fetus pictures?

Well, I decided to make one to count down the days until I once again have a ponyroom (and a house that comes with it).

I'm so over the snow.

Today was my first day back to work after a string of Snow Days. While I enjoy the occasional Snow Day or two hour delay, having so many in a row has really thrown off my sleeping patterns. Plus, I really hate walking through snow to get to my car in the morning. On the up side, I have managed to get caught up on a bunch of MLP and MLP Fair related things. I've also had a chance to watch quite a bit of the Olympics which is something I wouldn't normally have time to do. I especially enjoy watching the figure skating and ice dancing. Again, something I am incapable of doing (due to lack of coordination and utter hatred for all sports cold), but it is fun to watch nonetheless. In the spirit of the Olympic games, I bring to you Megan and Sundance in all their Ice Princess glory.

Ha! I just noticed that one of Megan's skates is turned and it looks like she is suffering a major ankle injury.

My Little Pony Fair 2010 website is up!

The 2010 My Little Pony Fair website is up and running. Please note that it is NOT at the MLPFair.com address and is instead hosted on my personal web domain. The original web address may be updated at a future time, but I do not have access to update it and felt a site was needed to display all of this year's information. If the original website is updated in the future, I will be sure to let everyone know. For now, add The My Little Pony Fair and Convention 2010 to your bookmarks.

In Honor of The 2010 Winter Olympics...

I thought I'd post a photo of SS Truly in her skiing gear. She's ready to Hit the Slopes.

I've been watching cross country skiing this afternoon. Kudos to all of those athletes. I ski about as well as I breath underwater and I can't stand being wet and cold. That would so be my personal hell.

New Toy Fair Ponies for 2010

Collectors knew that more core seven ponies and the new line of Ponyville mermaid ponies would make an appearence this year, but who saw this one coming?!?!

Oh, Applejack... what has happened to you?

And poor, poor Spike...

And then there is this...

I hope that this is like the MLP eqivilent of The Star Wars Clone Wars toys and that they are just something that go with the new cartoon series. I hope Hasbro will continue to make the other MLP styles as well.

For additional photos of MLP at Toy Fair check out ASM.

What's Better than a My Little Pony?

How about a Chocolate My Little Pony!

I was inspired by the the Curious Confectioner whose Chocolate My Little Ponies recently made headlines on the My Little Pony Arena and Trading Post and decided to try my hand at creating my own edible artwork. Here she is is all her White Chocolate Sugar-coated goodness... Edible Bubbles! She is the same size as conventional G1 Bubbles, but is entirely edible and was decorated using edible supplies. Not too bad for my first foray into candy making!

By participating in the games you will have chances to win raffle tickets which will be used in an exclusive game player raffle for some fabulous prizes. Get your game face on and join us in the fun!

Gallop Through Pony Land: This game is similar to a childhood favorite, Candy Land—only life size! There will be a limited number of people able to play this game so we will have everyone interested put their name in a hat for the chance to play.

Pony’s Last Straw: See how many Smarties you can move using your breath and a straw! Participants will have 30 seconds to see how many Smarties they can move into a cup. May the person with the best lung capacity win!

MLP Bingo: Just like the old standby but with pony pictures and symbols instead of numbers. There will be multiple rounds and everyone can have the chance to play. You’ll need a bit of luck and also need to study up on your Pony names and symbols.

Bushwoolie Toss: Toss as many beanbag Bushwoolies into the goal in 30 seconds as you can. Keep your eyes on the game and focus and hopefully you can get some raffle tickets!

Hopscotch: The game with a pony name! Using your balance and hopping skills—hop your way to victory!

Pony Art: Think you can draw the best pony on the block? Then participate in our pony drawing contest- but watch out as this game has a twist!

MLP Trivia: This live trivia game is for those with mad pony knowledge. Questions will be asked and you will write out your answer on a dry erase board—people will be eliminated from the group with wrong answers. Bring your thinking cap and see if you can make it through until the end.

Pony Symbol Quiz: Stop by our pony symbol board and see if you can name all of the symbols. An entry box will be provided.

Hello Pony Pals: You will receive a card with booth numbers on it—visit each booth number on your card for a signature and turn in your card for a random drawing.

Hope to see you at this year’s My Little Pony Fair and Convention!

It starts...

As you can imagine I've been busy with the planning of the 2010 MLPFair. I got so many emails and messages with questions about the event after I announced it last week that it literally took a few hours every night to write responses to all of them. I think it is great that so many people are excited about the Fair so I'm not complaining. I was just shocked by the sheer volume of messages. If this is any indicator of the turnout, we'll have quite a crowd!

The last few needed photos for the G2 guide trickled in over the last few days (courtesy of TinyShinyUnique at the Arena) and I haven't had a chance to give them all a good look yet, but from the few I have glanced at they seem to be exactly what I was looking for.

My husband and I have been on the house hunt for a few months now and we finally found a house we love. We're meeting with our realtor tomorrow afternoon to put in an offer so wish us luck!

In addition to all of this, I also signed up to run a booth at Family Literacy Night next Thursday at the school where I teach (I haven't even started planning things for that yet), and I start an all day Saturday grad class this weekend.

I could really use a Snow Day to chill out and catch up on things.

The New G3 Take on SeaPonies

In light of my recent post about my ho-hum feelings about the current G3 line, I feel obligated to comment on this:

It seems that Hasbro is introducing the G3 interpretation of SeaPonies. It certainly grabbed my attention. My response was first disgust, then surprise, and finally I couldn't stop laughing.

I love how the background story reads: Whenever the ponies visit the sea, they magically become beautiful mermaids! Join them as they have waves of fun discovering a brand new world!

It's like they inserted My Little Pony in the 80's flick
Splash.

Yeah, I totally need these. They are too bizarre and ridiculous to resist.
